How it works for guests?

Step 1: Scan QR-code

The guest scan QR-code on receipt, on the table/stand sticker or business card. It can lead either to restaurant page or to waiter's personal page.

Step 2: Choose gratuity

The guest choose how much they want to tip. It can be done either by choosing of predefined percentages or by entering custom amount. The guest may also rate and leave an optional feedback.

Step 3: Make payment

The guest pay can pay with variety of fastest methods, like Apple Pay, Google Pay, Visa, MasterCard, Bank redirect.

Tips has been accepted by our platform and splitted according to tip rules. Depending on used payment method, a waiter can make an instant payout.

Cashless tips by QR-code, how it works?

Lots of people do not use cash to pay in restaurants. However it's easy to leave tips cashless, if your restaurant is registered in GoTips service.

Link to payment page looks like QR-code, which can be located on receipt (if there is an integration with your POS), or on any sticker on the table/stand or printed on business card.

To leave tips guests just scan QR-code with their mobile phones - no application required.

We can accept tips by payment terminals, why do we need GoTips?

GoTips increases volume of tips while staying out of money flow of the restaurant, reducing tax and accounting burden. With GoTips you may collect valuable feedback, and easily share tips across employees in transparent way.

From the guests perspective you may let them contribute to individual goals of your employees, and rid off any inconvenience to enter tips amount to payment terminal near the waiter.

GoTips does not force you to use one or another, instead, GoTips can be just another additional way to accept tips.

How tips can be shared across the team?

Tips can be individual, or belong to a team. In both ways certain rules may be applied, based on how you configure this flow.

GoTips is flexible, and for example you can setup flow, where tips are splitted: some percentage % goes to waiter, and the rest to kitchen team.

How can I get an access to admin panel?

As a manager, please book a demo - we'll guide you how to use platform and help with every question.

As a waiter, please ask your manager to send you an invite link from admin panel. Having this link you can sign up in a few clicks and start getting gratuity.

What is the best place to put QR-code?

To the bottom of pre-receipt. To do that - your restaurant's POS must be integrated with our system. Please mail us to [email protected] to get more information whether you POS supported.

Second best place is where your guests usually pays: it can be table or bar counter. For this case printed stickers or table stand should be used.

Where to get QR-code?

After registration to our platform, you can find individual and team QR-codes under restaurant section in admin panel. QR-codes can be downloaded in .svg and .png formats for your convenience.

Why is that 6.6% fee?

We take a small commission - 3.8% from customer, when they tip. On top of that, payment processor takes 2.8% + 0.2 €. We are working hard to reduce our commission and costs.
